Day 1: Arrival
Flight to the Turkish Riviera. Greeting at the airport by our English-speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation on the Turkish Riviera.
Day 2: Short Briefing and Orientation Tour
Following a breakfast briefing, there will be a short orientation tour of the local area. Then return to the hotel. Accommodation on the Turkish Riviera.
Day 3: Antalya – Fethiye (approx. 260 km)
Travel along the coast to the ancient town of Myra. Visit the Church of St. Nicholas at Myra and then continue on to Fethiye. Along the way, thousands of bays and inlets exhibit the beauty of this little piece of Turkish paradise. Accommodation in the Fethiye area.
Day 4: Fethiye – Kuşadası (approx. 310 km)
Today we travel in the direction of Kuşadası to the ancient region of Ionia. On the way the programme includes a trip to the Didyma oracle. This temple is one of the most important oracle shrines in the ancient world. Then the tour continues to the ancient city of Priene. Accommodation in the Kuşadası area.
Day 5: Kuşadası – Pamukkale (approx. 200 km)
Today the programme features a visit to the charming city of Ephesus, once the region's most famous metropolis. In ancient times the region was known as Ionia and Ephesus was its largest city, home to around 200,000 inhabitants. Imposing buildings such as the theatre, the Odeon, the Temple of Hadrian and the Library of Celsus illustrate what a glorious period the city enjoyed during the antiquity. Following that we will pay a visit to the Basilica of St. John and then travel onwards to Pamukkale, where we will spend the night.
Day 6: Pamukkale – Antalya (approx. 220 km)
After breakfast there will be a visit to the ancient city of Laodicea on the Lycus. Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos from beneath Pamukkale's world-famous chalk terraces. The journey continues across the Taurus Mountains to Antalya and the chosen hotel. On the way, there will be a visit to a carpet-making workshop. The workers here are attempting to keep the thousand-year-old art of carpet making and the extraction of natural dyes alive. Dinner and accommodation on the Turkish Riviera.
Day 7: Antalya
Travel to the province's capital, Antalya. Trip to the Kurşunlu Waterfalls. Then a visit to a jewellery centre and a leather fashion show. Followed by a trip to Antalya's market, where travellers will have the opportunity to stroll through the city under their own steam. Dinner and accommodation on the Turkish Riviera.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to the airport and return flight.
Changes to the programme may occur due to variations in the opening hours of tourist sites.
